Story: NORTHERN IRELAND 1998 - THE OMAGH BOMBING

Saturday August 15th, 1998.

29 people died and approxiamately 220 people were injured as a result of a bomb attack carried out by the RIRA (the Real Irish Republican Army) in the shopping-center of the town Omagh, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland.

The attack was described by the BBC as "Northern Ireland's worst singel terrorist atrocity".

The same week we were travelling in Northern Ireland.

My camera started to behave funny as if it had a notion of what was coming, and as you can see, the pictures came out very strangely.

This is in remembrance of the victims.

I could have been one of them.
